Brian Dawkins has announced that former teammate, Troy Vincent, will be introducing him at the Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony in August.

Vincent and Dawkins both joined the Eagles in 1996 and were cornerstones of the Eagles secondary for eight seasons together (along with Bobby Taylor) before Vincent moved on to the Buffalo Bills.

In a recent interview, Dawkins credited Vincent for showing him what it means to be a professional and spoke of their close friendship which continues to this day.

Many Hall of Fame inductees select family members to introduce them, but I always love when a former teammate is chosen. It often leads to insights and stories that fans normally wouldn’t hear.

I can’t wait to watch Dawkins take the stage and give an epic speech while looking out into the sea of #20 jerseys that will inevitably overtake Canton that day.
